  • The average age of all dancers will be taken to determine a routine's age division. A dancer's age will be calculated by the age of the dancer on December, 31st 2024.

    A dancer may not compete in a level that is more than one division below or above their own regardless of average age. For example a dancer that competes in the junior level will not be eligible to compete in the Tiny or Senior age categories.

  • Power :

    Designed to celebrate the exceptional talent, dedication, and spirit of special-needs dancers. This level helps celebrate and recognize the extraordinary contributions of dancers with diverse abilities, whose passion for dance transcends all boundaries. The Power level is committed to fostering an inclusive environment in the world of dance. Embracing diversity, and promoting the empowerment of individuals with special needs. This level encompasses artistic expression, dedication, and collaboration

    Novice :

    Intended for dancers that have little or no competitive experience. A novice dancer may not be in more than 4 routines.

    Intermediate :

    Intended for dancers that have some competitive experience and train 6 hours or less a week. Intermediate dancers may not be in more than 6 routines.

    Advanced :

    Intended for dancers that have 3 or more years of competitive experience or train 7 or more hours a week or in 6 or more routines.

    Pre-Professional :

    Intended for dancers that have many years of competitive experience and/or have been employed to perform.

    Adult:

    Any routine with a performer 20 years or older will compete in the Adult Age Division. Performers in this category are not eligible for overall awards. If enough routines are entered in the adult category then a special high score award may be given out at that regional.

    If 50% or more of the group is in a higher level, that routine will automatically be placed in the higher level. Studio directors may choose to level a dance higher at their own discretion. (For example, a large group with 5 intermediate level dancers, and 6 advanced level dancers will automatically be placed to compete in the advanced level. If a trio with 2 intermediate dancers, and 1 advanced dancer decide to compete in the advanced level, they may do so.)

    Judges discretion:

    If the judges unanimously decide that a routine is in the incorrect level, that routine will receive a 5 point deduction. This decision must be approved by the Execute Director before the deduction is made.

  • Musical theater dance is a vibrant and engaging dance style that is an integral part of theatrical productions, such as Broadway shows and musicals. It combines elements of various dance genres, including jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary dance, to complement the storytelling and musical aspects of the performance. Musical theater dance showcases a wide range of movements, from high-energy and choreographed ensemble numbers to intimate and emotional solo pieces. Dancers in musical theater productions not only display technical skill but also convey characters' emotions and narratives through their dance performances.   • Dancers explore and experiment with different dance styles, techniques, and movements without rigid guidelines or restrictions. Dancers are encouraged to express themselves freely and creatively, incorporating elements from various dance forms and styles. Three Acro element limit.

  • Tap dance is a rhythmic and percussive form of dance where dancers wear special shoes with metal plates on the soles, creating audible sounds and beats as they strike the floor. Through intricate footwork and precise movements, tap dancers use their feet like musical instruments, producing a captivating and unique form of self-expression. This lively and engaging dance style has a rich history and continues to be appreciated for its artistry and entertainment value.

  • All props are expected to set-up in 30 seconds and be removed in 30 seconds (1 minutes cumulative.)

    If prop set-up/removal exceeds these times there will be addtional fee to your studio. You may purchase additional increments of 30 seconds for $35.

    No live animals are permitted.

    Any items left on stage prior to the performance is the studios responsibility to immedietely clean up and remove from the stage. If this exceeds 30 seconds the studio may purchase additional removal time for $35 per 30 second increments.

    No dangerous props are permitted. Including but not limited to sharp objects, heated objects, fire, any form of liquid, loose chalk, flour, glitter, or confetti. All final decisions will be made by the competition Director prior to the event. Any studios inability to follow these rules can lead to disqualification.

    Props are not premitted to stay overnight at a venue.

    Props are not premitted to be stored in the wings or on the stage.

    Absolutely no Items may be thrown or shot off the front of the stage at any time

  • Music must be uploaded to our online portal at least 2 weeks prior to the event you are attending. You must bring a back up USB or iPad in case there are any issues uploading your music. Accelerate Dance Experience is not responsible for any USB's or iPad's that are not collected by the end of the event. CD's will NOT be accepted.

  • Sportsmanship towards other performers and competitors is an essential aspect that fosters a positive and supportive atmosphere that Accelerate Dance Experience deeply cares about. It encompasses the values of respect, fairness, and camaraderie, elevating the entire experience for everyone involved. All competitors and atendees must demonstrate respect towards judges, fellow dancers, and event organizers, acknowledging the hard work and dedication put forth by all. Additionally, you must maintain a spirit of inclusivity, encouraging and uplifting others, rather than engaging in negative behavior or unsportsmanlike conduct. Ultimately, we require good sportsmanship to enhance the joy of the competition but to also reflect the true spirit of dance as a collaborative and uplifting art form. Studios who cannot abide by these rules may lead to disqualification.

  • By engaging in any activities or services provided by Accelerate Dance Experience, LLC. , you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with these activities. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment, Accelerate Dance Experience, LLC. and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the course of participating in our activities.

    Participants and users of our services are expected to exercise due diligence and take personal responsibility for their well-being. We strongly encourage all participants to consult with their healthcare providers or seek professional advice before engaging in any physical activities offered by Accelerate Dance Experience, LLC.

    Furthermore, Accelerate Dance Experience, LLC. assumes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings or valuables while on our premises or participating in our events.

  • Photography and video recording is strictly prohibited. Failure to abide could result in disquaification to the studio represented. We reserve the right to delete footage.

    NO alcohol or tobacco at any event that is hosted on a school property.

    Judges are highly qualified and all decision made by the judges are final.

    All participants grant permission to Accelerate Dance Experience, LLC. to use their photographs and videos for social media and marketing reasons.

    All studios and participants must exhibit sportsmanlike behavior to all participants, teachers, families, and Accelerate Dance Experience staff. Failure to execute this behavior may lead to disqualification. Absolutely no recruiting may take place between studios at our events.

  • Entries will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited to the amount of performance time available.

    The name of the routine may not be the same name as the dance studio

    A tentative schedule outline will be available at least 5 days prior to the event.

  • Studios interested in securing their participation are required to submit a non-refundable deposit for $500 50 or less routines, and $1,000 for 51 or more routines on or before December 1st. This deposit allows studios to reserve an estimated number of routines for their studio routines. In order to maintain fairness and prevent overbooking, we cannot guarantee routine spots beyond the studio's estimated number.

    To ensure smooth event planning, studios must notify the competition 90 days or more before their event date if they plan to bring fewer routines than the number they initially estimated. This will help us accommodate any changes and optimize the competition experience for all participants.

    To guarantee their estimated number of routines, studios must make full payment before the 60-day or more deadline. Entries will not be processed without full payment and will be made available to other studios and waitlists.

    It's important to understand that paying the initial deposit does not lock in the competition rates. Rates are only locked once the studio's account is paid in full.

    Checks are not accepted. All payments must be paid through credit card or an ACH method. ACH methods will receive a 2% discount. Please call for more information on how to process this payment method.

    Dynamic Overalls:

    We will recognize the top highest-scoring participants in each category and each division. These dancers have showcased to the judges exceptional technique, execution of choreography, showmanship, and overall professional appearance.

    Technical Excellence:

    Dancers who received the highest technical score, in each division, will receive this award.

    Judges Choice Entertainment Showdown:

    An exhilarating twist that adds an extra layer of excitement to the event. The esteemed panel of judges will each select up to two exceptional routines from each session, granting them a spot in the thrilling Showdown. But that's not all—the thrill continues into the weekend as the Saturday and Sunday entertainment winners are crowned, each receiving a bonus prize. Unlike traditional awards, these winners are determined solely by the entertainment factors that captivated the judges'. Scores take a backseat as the judges delight in the sheer joy, creativity, and charisma displayed by these exceptional performers, celebrating the magic they bring to the stage. The journey to the spotlight is about to become an unforgettable celebration of pure entertainment!

  • Soloists competing with a Title solo must participate at the Advanced or Pre-professional level. Titleist can only enter this category with one solo, which must be registered under the “Title solo” division. This particular solo will be judged in the Title division, but it will also be eligible for division overalls since the solo criteria remains the same.

    Before the award ceremony, each Titleist will be required to perform a 30-second improv to a randomly selected song. For the improv portion dancers must wear a separate costume from their solo, They may wear professional looking athletic or dance wear they feel most confident in. The improv portion will be judged separately from their solo performance. The overall score for Titleist will be a combination of their solo score and their improv score.
